Goodbye Michigan

Kaden

At Kaden's 4 day old check up, the doctors noticed some lesions in the back of his throat. They were worried that it could be a very serious virus even though there were no other symptoms. So they had us take him to the emergency room. They ran tests and had him admitted to the hospital while we waited for the test results. 3 days later, when all of the tests came back negative, they let us go home. It was so hard to see my little guy poked and prodded so much. We were both so glad to go home and we were all relieved that Kaden is just fine. We are so grateful to my mom for extending her stay so that she could take care of the other boys. I don't know what we would have done without her. Thanks Mom! Kaden is doing great! He loves to eat, to be held, and enjoys numerous kisses from his brothers.

Winter Fun

Welcome Kaden!

We welcomed beautiful Kaden James to our family yesterday. He weighed 8lbs 3 oz, was 21 inches long and has reddish hair. His brothers were so excited to meet him! We feel so blessed to have 5 healthy, wonderful boys!

The Tree

A couple of nights ago we had a lightening storm with strong winds. Jade (who was working at the hospital all night) had just gutted our bathroom and left a large pile of debri outside. When I heard a loud sound I just thought that something had blown against the house. I was shocked the next morning when we discovered that half of a tree had fallen on our house! The scary part was that it fell right by Nathan's bedroom. It damaged the roof and the tree limbs were hanging on some power lines. But luckily everyone and everything inside the house is fine. Nathan slept through the whole thing.

Owen, Nathan and I had fun watching the tree cutting guys get rid of the tree. (But it won't be so much fun paying our insurance deductible.)
